- The lens is the practice.
The lens is the practice.
When gratitude becomes how you see, not what you do, everything shifts.

Welcome to Week Five of The Identity Shift
This is where things get quieter but also sharper.
Less doing. More being.
You’ve spent the last few weeks tuning into the shift, noticing it in real time.
This week, we ask.
What happens when that shift becomes the default?
Not something you reach for, but something you live from.

TL;DR
Gratitude isn’t just a habit. It’s a lens.
One that quietly reshapes what you notice and how you respond.
This week, you’re not trying to “be grateful.”
You’re simply noticing what your lens is already showing you.
That’s not a technique. That’s integration.

I didn’t notice it until much later.
The way I reached for the light switch in the morning.
I sat for five seconds longer before picking up my phone.
I noticed the edge of stress, but didn’t fall into it.
It wasn’t dramatic. And that’s why I missed it at first, because we’re trained to look for transformation in the loud moments.
But real change is often quiet.
It shows up in how we see things, not how we fix them.

Living from the lens doesn’t mean everything feels light.
It just means you know how to hold the dark differently.
It means you notice without chasing a lesson. You stay present without needing a win. You let the moment speak even when it’s small.
This isn’t about trying to apply gratitude.
This is about becoming someone who doesn’t forget to see.

Take the bite out of rising vet costs with pet insurance
Veterinarians across the country have reported pressure from corporate managers to prioritize profit. This incentivized higher patient turnover, increased testing, and upselling services. Pet insurance could help you offset some of these rising costs, with some providing up to 90% reimbursement.

Identity Anchor of the Week
“Gratitude isn’t what I reach for. It’s how I see.”
This week, don’t push to feel it.
Just watch where it already lives in your day.

Gratitude Gem
“You’ll notice the shift more by how you respond than how you reflect.”

This Week’s Practice (CTA)
At the end of the day, ask yourself: Where did I respond differently today, because of how I saw it?
You don’t need to analyse it.
Just name it. That’s enough.
Until next week,
Gavin
